A CHRISTMAS CAROL
December 11th to 21st, 2024
Join us for Tweed & Company’s take on everyone’s favourite Christmas tale with our new rendition of the Charles Dickens classic… A CHRISTMAS CAROL!
Experience the magic, mystery, laughter, and levity of this holiday classic in a brand new retelling on our Hastings County stages. Ebenezer Scrooge refuses to get into the holiday spirit, and it is not until he is coaxed by the spirits of Christmas past, present and future - as well as some previous coworkers, and a whole slew of other haunting characters - that he comes around to the joy and meaning of the season. In this lavish, whirlwind, comedic, and heartfelt reinvention by the Tweed & Co team, you will be taken on a Christmas journey you and your loved ones are not soon to forget!
Created by the Tweed & Company ensemble, this show is a little bit musical, a little bit panto, a little bit puppet show, and a lot bit fun for the whole family! Book your tickets early for this new rendition of an old favourite.

RELAXED PERFORMANCE: Saturday, December 21st @ 2 PM will be a relaxed performance of A Christmas Carol for anyone who may enjoy a calmer theatre environment. Relaxed performances were initially designed to make theatre spaces more comfortable and welcoming to audience members with autism spectrum disorders, sensory and communication disorders or learning disabilities. Other audience members who may benefit from Relaxed Performances include parents with toddlers, people with Tourette’s syndrome, people who experience anxiety, or even people who just don’t enjoy the conventions that are experienced in a traditional theatre setting. Some relaxed performances include adjustments to the technical elements of the show (for example, reducing the volume on loud sound cues or removing strobing lighting effects or full blackouts), leaving lights on in the audience throughout the show, allowing audience members to leave the theatre and return at any point, and assuring patrons that noise and movement during the show is acceptable. They can also include the actors introducing themselves before the show and leading a pre-show discussion about any elements of the performance that patrons might find surprising or startling (moments of staged violence, actors entering into the audience etc.)
For more information on relaxed performances please call the box office or email [email protected].
